So at the (fairy) tale end of twenty-oh-nine I hung out with my fam for a bit then started to get ready for our NYE dinner/party with some new friends and some old friends for an Italian feast like no other! Thanks to Becky and Jennifer's planning and chef Pops we had 3 huge baked zitis, wine and tons of booze to go around and lots more goodies. (pics to come)
As for the rest of the night (from what I vaguely remember) the new year began with fireworks, sparklers and bombs! That's right our guys brought ear blisteringly loud bombs to the NYE party at our friends house; not to mention we also rang in the new year with 2 dozen delicious Irish Car bombs AND strawberry sliced PJ Rose AND Moet Rose AND Black AND whatever else you could imagine was going around at midnight and of course I can't forget the traditional 12 white (green) grapes...heaven.
We danced, we laughed like crazy. We talked the house of you know what. Some of us were even promised children and marriage in the coming years by Italian fathers and well others (presumably me) may have taken a nap, missed a whole mess of people BUT woke up refreshed like 2 hours later! LOL
All in all twenty-ten is already an incredibly promising year for most and thankfully stock-filled with travel thanks to my "maleta" and i'm sure lots more interesting news will follow....
